Tracey Emin, Jadé Fadojutimi, Anish Kapoor, Vera Lutter, Jessica Rankin, Bob and Roberta Smith, Gavin Turk and Rose Wylie were among the contemporary artists pledging their commitment to the Art For Your World movement by donating a work for sale at the Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Day Auction, with proceeds donated to WWF. The online auction took place from 8-15 October 2021 and raised over £1 million.
The eight auction works were wrapped around the facade of the Flannels building in a stunning digital installation on London's iconic Oxford Street during September and October of 2021 in a collaboration between Art For Your World and W1 Curates.
All funds raised through the auction were be used to support key areas of WWF’s work that contribute to combatting dangerous climate change, such as: halting deforestation; supporting communities; restoring trees and forests; replanting seagrass meadows; protecting endangered species; and promoting sustainable lifestyles.
